UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
About Course
SDGs stand for Sustainable Development Goals. They are a set of 17 global goals established by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SDGs are designed to address various social, economic, and environmental challenges facing the world, with the aim of promoting a more sustainable and inclusive future.
The 17 SDGs cover a wide range of issues, including poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, clean water, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice, and strong institutions, and partnerships for the goals.
Governments, businesses, and civil society organizations around the world are encouraged to work together to achieve these goals by 2030, promoting collaboration and collective action to address global challenges and improve the well-being of people and the planet.
